Below is a summary of the January 9 Elders' meeting.

• New CCC members Brian and Patty Wulf will be recognized during the worship service on 1/28;
• New CCC members Mike and Kim Bautista will be recognized 1/21.

1. The elder selection process is moving forward and a letter to CCC members along with a ballot will be sent on 1/10/2007. Ballots are confidential and are to be placed in the identified box located on the information table in the Grand Hall.
   
   
2. The Sr. Pastor Search Team communicated with the current leading applicant’s references with favorable results. Information received from a second applicant is also under review.
   
   
3. The elders approved designating Gene H. and Kermit G. as check signers. They are willing to continue serving in this capacity and have flexible schedules to accommodate frequent visits to the church office. The board of Church Fellowship Inc. convened and approved this motion unanimously.
   
   
4. The elders reviewed facility care issues. The current team of Cathy T., Robin B., Melanie W., and Dawna W. contribute a total of 30 hrs per week combined to clean the facility. Total hours compensated for facility cleaning for the entire team will not exceed 30 hours per week for 2007. CCC has historically compensated various individuals on average 20 – 30 hrs per week total for facility cleaning.
   
   
5. Brennon asked on behalf of the Outreach Team that CCC support an outreach event by St. John’s Lutheran Church – helping to publicize an event and perhaps participate in ticket sales. The event will be held February 10^th, the speaker is Leslie Haskins.
   
   
6. Brennon announced that the Prayer Team will sponsor an “ActsFast” event on January 27^th.
   
   
7. Dan G. will recruit helpers and children for an Easter musical; theme is the ascension; the musical drama will be held Sunday night, April 22^nd.
